groovy 70s clip-onClip on ties.  They’re not for everyone, but some people prefer them for specific reasons:  they may not be adept at tying a tie or they might need them for certain lines of work where wearing a traditional necktie can prove dangerous.  Police officers, security guards and people working near moving machinery prefer them or are required to wear them.  Laziness is another perfectly legitimate reason!

Clip-on ties came to the scene sometime in the 50’s or 60’s. From the looks of the bold pattern and earthy colors, this is one helluva groovy 1970s clip on necktie! It’s 4 inches wide so it can be worn today.  My other clip-on ties range from the 50’s through today’s so there’s something for everyone.  If clip-ons aren’t your thing but you love the fabric and style,  1970’s vintage ties are a good place to start.
