one inch skinnySo I thought I’d follow up the widest tie with the thinnest one I’ve ever come across, and I don’t think they get skinnier than this!  Skinny neckwear reigned during the 50’s and 60’s but only got ultra skinny in the early 60’s.  In fact, I once came across another 1 inch necktie whose manufacturer name was marked “Splinter”!

This understated striped tie was produced by Wembley, a name well known throughout most of the 20th Century for quality neckwear, from  the loud 40’s to the wide polyester 70’s  to the  modern silk 90’s.

This featured accessory is the One Inch Wide – 1960s Red & Black Striped Tie.  The narrow ties page separates ties by width, from the  severely skinny one inch up to three inches and everything in between.
