This and That About Neckties

Well the “Stars and Stripes Forever Day” was yesterday, but if you are as patriotic as I am, you’ll want to celebrate it everyday!  That is one of the nice things about patriotic neckties, you can where them for a bunch of holidays or just because!

I was looking through my Crisp Toasts book, authored by William R. Evans III and Andrew Frothingham, and came across this toast to America:

Here’s a health to America, the pride of the Earth,
The Stars and the Stripes – drink the land of our birth!
Toast the army and navy who fought for our cause,
Who conquered and won us our freedom and laws.

This is the Flag of 1861 tie from the Tango by Max Raab Americana Series.  I really like the Americana Series of men’s neckties since it features various  scenes and points in time, including old fashioned tennis scene, hot air balloons and other outdoor scenes, all with the American flag somewhere on each tie.
