This and That About Neckties

To all moms and “like moms” out there,

Happy Happy Mothers Day!

In fact, I just found out that May 9th through the 16th is “Salute to Moms 35+ Week”, so today can be extended to an all week celebration for a lot of women! Of course, I believe that kids, husbands and boyfriends (of single moms) can show their appreciation to their moms, wives and girlfriends everyday!

Most moms probably don’t wear ties, but they would probably love something crafted from them, such as this decorative basket weave pillow handmade from 26 neckties! I combined the thin ends of black, white and gray men’s ties and woven them 13 across and 13 down to create this one-of-a-kind masterpiece. It didn’t matter if they were designer ties or no name neckwear so long as they matched in color.
