This and That About Neckties

My partner and I thought about producing mail order catalogs for our online business  Ties2Pillows.com but realized pretty quickly that it would prove frustrating to our customers. As a hybrid business where 15% of our neckties are new and the remaining 85% are vintage, we carry only one of each product. Once a tie is sold, it is removed from active inventory and no longer available.  By the time a catalog is printed and distributed, many of our ties are sold, and photographs of them in a mail order catalog would unfairly tease the viewer.

The upside is totally unique neckties! While our vintage ties were mass produced as they are today,  some 50, 60, 70, 80 and even 90 years later they are one-of-a-kind pieces of wearable art! Take this 1940’s Geometric Diamond Tie.  If you love it, you will be hard pressed to find an identical one soon, not that one doesn’t exist somewhere.   However, the time and energy necessary to find it simply doesn’t make it a practical endeavor.
