This and That About Neckties

Wilma: And I didn’t forget you, darling. Happy Anniversary!

Fred: Ahhhh! A tie! With spots on it already! Just what I always needed!

I used to watch the Flintstones religiously as a kid and had forgotten this clip. It made me chuckle, especially Fred’s glee over a necktie with spots already on it! I wonder if they ever produced brand new ties with an instantly soiled look to them for gag gifts.  I’ve never come across such a tie, but if I do, you will be the first to see it!

Interestingly enough, Wilma’s comforter is the same pattern as the tie! Apparently back in the stone age they didn’t have a lot of choice in pattern and designs to choose from!
