This and That About Neckties

Holy Moly!

I just came into 180 brand new 20’s 30’s and 40’s era ties! They all have wrappers attached to them like this brand new 20’s 30’s striped necktie.  This is the manner in which they were sold as new neckwear 70 to 90 years ago.  They have never been worn.  In the vintage clothing (and automobile) business they are known as “deadstock” or “new old stock”.

The 1920’s and 1930’s ties have no facing on the underside, while the late 30’s to early 40’s transitional ties do.  I have both.

All of the neckties are solid color or patterned.  Sorry, no novelty themes here. Quite frankly, I am blown away by some of the uber modern designs! I will be photographing them and adding them to my website soon.
