Telephones TieNovember 10th is Area Code Day!

I recall when the greater Philadelphia metropolitan area was 215.  Then 610 was added, and a friend tells me that now 484 is an overlay on top of 610.  I remember my old style phone numbers as well: 449- was HI9 (for HILLTOP 9) AND 789- was SU9- (for SUNSET 9).

How about when the entire state of Nevada was telephone area code 702! It was one of the original area codes established in 1947 to cover all of the Nevada, but in 1998 the state was split into area code 775.  Area code 702 now covers the Las Vegas area only – tells you something about the skewed population density of the state!

This Telephone Tie features a bunch of really old fashioned phones and telephone books from way before my time! It is one of the more unusual men’s ties we carry in the Unique Ties section of Novelty Ties. Why not check it out!
