Vincent Van Gogh Starry Night TieHappy Birthday Vincent!

Vincent van Gogh was born on this day in 1853, and went on to become a post-Impressionist painter, many works of which are today known for their vivid colors and emotional impact.

The artist spent about a year in a Saint-Remy hospital, and during his stay the clinic and surrounding gardens became the main subjects of his paintings. Some of his works at the time were characterized by swirls, including those in one of his best known paintings, The Starry Night, completed in June of 1889.

This Starry Night tie repeats the famous scene throughout the tie. If you are interested in our other art ties, we also carry a Paul Klee necktie, a Norman Rockwell tie, two of Claude Monet’s Waterlilies ties, a few Picasso neckties, as well as more modern artists such as Michael Godard ties, three Peter Max ties, a Roy Lichtenstein Stepping Out necktie and a very cool Gary Silverberg Screamer tie.
