Magician's Props TieHappy Birthday Harry Houdini!

Born on March 24th, 1874, Erik Weisz later became a professional magician and took the name Harry Houdini to pay homage to fellow magicians Jean Eugene Robert-Houdin and Harry Kellar, whom Houdini admired.

While this magic themed necktie features traditional props such as rabbits, top hats, wands, pigeons and playing cards, Houdini was best know as an escape artist.

Today theĀ Houdini Museum in Scranton, Pa, features tours & magic shows! Dorothy Dietrich has continued the tradition of seances at the museum each October 31 (on Halloween, the day Houdini died), in an effort to perhaps finally reach the most famous magician of all time.
