This and That About Neckties

I had the occasion to speak with a good customer of ours, who, in the course of conversation, playfully accused me of picking off the best neckwear for myself.

Only partially true…

As the buyer for our mom ‘n pop company, while I do get first choice, I make sure to only select men’s ties which I will actually wear. This means that I stay away from wide neck ties (they make me look like a pear!), super skinny ties, blue neckwear (not my favorite color) and ties which thematically simply don’t speak to me.

Also, I wade through my collection regularly to make sure it doesn’t number more than approximately 200, a mere pittance in comparison to the thousands of ties which some serious collectors own. Those which reveal the historical development of neckties do, however, interest me immensely.

In the meantime, I am happy to offer the best selection of vintage men’s ties, from the 1920’s through the 1980’s, as well as modern pieces and some new ties as well.
